At Madrid Films by Women Festival we are really aware that in order to improve the severe inequalities that make up our reality, it is essential to make female references visible so that they can be an inspiration for the youngest. Therefore, one of our objectives is to highlight women’s talent throughout the cultural value chain: creation and training → production and screening → distribution and sales → marketing and exhibition → consumption and accessibility.
This 5th edition brings a wide range of professional and training activities with great experts and guest directors. Under the slogan #visibilityforequality, 13 professional and training activities will take place together with the presentations of their films by the authors and subsequent debates on this year's screenings, thus creating spaces for reflection, dialogue and shared experience; always with equality as a goal and excellence as a motto that guides and underpins the basis of this project.
