Awards, winners’ list and editorials 2018-2026
AWARDS & JURY
3 awards will be presented:
1. 2026 AWARD FOR AN OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL CAREER.
The purpose of this award is to recognize the work of women professionals in our country. It is awarded upon the recommendation of the festival’s Selection Committee and consists of:
- A jewel award designed by the renowned designer Chus Burés.
- A limited-edition Huawei Watch GT 6, valued at €249, courtesy of UWA, UHD World Association.
2. OFFICIAL SECTION. INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. Award to the Best International Film 2026 at the Films by Women Madrid Festival.
The award consists of:
- Free Your Mind Award: 4K color grading for 3 weeks at the Místika digital cinema suite at Free Your Mind, valued at €30,000, for the winning director’s next feature film.
- Subtitula’m Award: The creation of a DCP in the original version with Spanish subtitles by the company Subtitula’m, valued at €1,000.
- A limited-edition Huawei Watch GT 6, valued at €249, courtesy of UWA, UHD World Association.
3. OFFICIAL SECTION. SPANISH COMPETITION. Award to the Best Spanish Film 2026 at the Films by Women Madrid Festival.
The award consists of:
- Aluzine Award: A €3,000 credit toward the rental of lighting equipment for the winning film’s director’s next project, courtesy of Aluzine.
- RC Service Award: €3,000 in discounts on film equipment rental, courtesy of RC Service.
- A limited-edition Huawei Watch GT 6, valued at €249, courtesy of UWA, UHD World Association.
4. BATURU AWARD FOR THE FIRST OR SECOND FEATURE FILM BY A NEW DIRECTOR 2026.
- A one-month creative residency in Bangkok, courtesy of the Baturu Festival, including round-trip airfare (economy class), an apartment (30 days), and a daily allowance (1,000 baht per day).
- A limited-edition Huawei Watch GT 6, valued at €249, courtesy of UWA, UHD World Association.
