Sinopsis
Fiction. Klara has fallen in love and there’s nothing she likes better than hanging around Jacob. Anna, mother of two, clocks her husband when he’s heating formula milk. Ex-wife Vera cannot let go of her ex-husband. Feature film The Ex-wife gets to grips with behaviours that nobody wants, but that invariably exist – from new love to divorce. With humour and seriousness, The Ex-wife swoops down on three relationships, where the roles of the women are that of the accommodating girlfriend, the fretful wife and the brooding ex-wife.
Writer & director Katja Wik, born in 1987, has a Master of Fine Arts in Film from University of Gothenburg, Valand Academy. She is known for her former work as a casting director for feature films Force Majeure (2014), PLAY (2011) and Involuntary (2008) by Ruben Östlund, as well as numerous commercials. Her short film debut Victim-Mentality Rhetoric won the Startsladden Audience Award at Göteborg Film Festival 2013. The Ex-wife is her debut feature.
