Sinopsis

Fiction. Frida, a six-year-old girl, faces the first summer of her life with her new adoptive family due to the death of her mother. Far from her close environment, the girl must adapt to her new life in the countryside.


Carla Simón

Carla Simón was born in 1986 in Barcelona and grew up in Les Planes d’Hostoles, a small Catalan town. In 2011 she was awarded the prestigious scholarship from Obra Social la Caixa, and moved to London to study MA Filmmaking at the London Film School. During that period, she directed the documentary Born Positive and the fiction Lipstick, both selected to participate in several international festivals.

Her first feature film, Summer 1993, produced by Inicia Films and Avalon P.C. was selected for the Script Station of the Berlinale, where Simón also attended the Talent Campus. She has also participated in the Script creation lab of the SGAE Foundation, the Low Budget Film Forum of Les Arcs in France, in the Ekran + program in Poland and in the Development programs of Media Sources 2 and L’Alternativa.
