Most Beautiful Island
Sinopsis
Fiction. Most Beautiful Island is a psychological thriller about the plight of an undocumented immigrant woman trying to make a living in New York. Filmed in Super 16 mm, with an intimate and voyeuristic sensibility, Most Beautiful Island narrates an anguished day in the life of Luciana, a Spanish immigrant who juggles different jobs to make ends meet and who, at the same time, tries to escape her past. Before the day ends, she unwittingly becomes a key participant in a cruel game where lives are put at risk and minds are twisted for the perverse entertainment of a privileged few.
