Sinopsis

Fiction. Don Diego de Zama, a seventeenth-century Spanish official, patiently awaits his transfer from Asunción to Buenos Aires, in recognition of his merits. While waiting he loses everything, even his name. When everything seems lost, Zama decides to join a group of soldiers searching for a dangerous bandit.


Lucrecia Martel

Lucrecia Martel was born in Argentina in 1966. She was trained in Argentina at the Film School of Avellaneda and the ENERC. With the short film Rey Muerto she was recognized for the first time and with her first feature film, La Ciénaga, she was granted the Best First Feature Award at the 2001 Berlin Film Festival, becoming the brightest future prospect of the New Argentine Cinema. La Niña Santa was selected for the 2004 Cannes Official Competition section. Among her filmography as director also stands out La mujer rubia.
