Sinopsis

Documentary. Mokhtar, a filmmaking professor, receives an unexpected gift on his 75th birthday from his daughter Kawthar, a filmmaker in her early twenties. With two plane tickets to Rome, he has a second chance to search for his unfulfilled love, who he abandoned 33 years ago.  Filmed with hidden cameras and family home videos, Kawthar freely captures the real essence of this father/daughter relationship.


Kawthar Younis

Kawthar Younis is an Egyptian film director who studied film directing at High cinema Institute of Cairo. She was born on 17th June 1993, Cairo. She directed a short project A story of Everyday that won the first prize in the Civic Engagement Competition in the American University of Cairo 2011. Her documentary A Present from the Past is the first long documentary produced by the High Cinema Institute of Egypt and the first school film to officially participate in the Cairo International Film Festival.
