La camarista (The chambermaid)
Sinopsis
Fiction. The dream of a solitary chambermaid called Eve of being something more will make her discover the different universes behind every forgotten item left by the guests of the luxury rooms that she cleans in the hotel that she works at. Eve day-dreams trough them and converts her solitude into accompaniment.
Lila Avilés has worked in a creative capacity and as an actress in more than twenty films and with the best known Mexican directors. In the theater she has directed Gardenia Club, Microdermoabrasión (National Drama Award), Antígona and La camarera. Her documentary La fertilidad de la tierra won first place in the 2016 EcoFilmFest and her short film Reconstrucción received the Emerging Talent Award in the 2017 México Fashion Film Fest. Her first fiction work La camarista won during the post-production the Gabriel Figueroa Fund Work in Progress in the International Los Cabos Film Festival in 2016 and the distribution prize of the section First Cut in Ventana Sur, Argentina 2017. La camarista debuted in the Toronto International Film Festival and it has obtained numerous awards and distinctions.
