Sinopsis
Fiction. In this romantic and sometimes melancholy comedy, Aurora, a party animal, meets an Iranian boy, Darian, at a Lapland hot dog stand. Darian is escaping death and looking for a better future for her daughter, and Aurora is escaping love. Both are needed to finally stop escaping.
Miia Tervo is an award winning writer and director from Finnish Lapland. Her short films have been screened and awarded around the world. The Little Snow Animal was nominated by the European Festivals Association in 2010 and Clumsy Little Acts of Tenderness was screened at international festivals such as Palms Springs and Oberhausen and also competed for the Prix Europe. His first feature film, Aurora, premiered at the Gothenburg Film Festival in 2019 and was the festival’s opening film.
