La tonada del viento (The Tune of the Wind)
Sinopsis
Fiction. Panchito is a little boy from the countryside. On his first trip to the city of El Alto (Bolivia), he gets lost in a street festival. Despite his efforts and his dad’s struggle, he ends up in an orphanage. Every day, at school, the civic hour reminds the children that over a hundred years ago, Bolivia lost its land access to the ocean in a war against Chile, who won. During that daily class, one day, Panchito meets Pedro, a Chilean boy who lost his parents in Antofagasta (Chili). Panchito wants to return home to his father, in the countryside. Pedro dreams that the sea is a huge blue door, blue like the sky where his parents are now. He dreams that door may open for him to be with his parents again. These feelings get them closer together in a trip to the highlands of the arid Altiplano, where the land-wind whistles and carries sand, and the strong wind over the ocean moves the waves. But destiny is not always what we expect.
