Das Vorspiel (The Audition)
Sinopsis
Fiction. Anna Bronsky is a violin teacher in a high school specializing in musical education. Against the general opinion of all the other teachers, she decides to encourage Alexander, a student who wants to study in that institution, because she detects a special talent in him. She promises to help him prepare the intermediary exam, neglecting her own family, and particularly her son Jonas, whom she forces to compete with her own student, Alexander. She also neglects her husband, Philippe. She has an affair with Christian, one of her colleagues, who convinces her to join a quintet. When the first concert of the quintet is a flop, pressure gets very high for her and she focuses all of her attention in her student, Alexander. The date of his exam arrives and events take a dramatic turn.
