Sinopsis
Fiction. Sarah is a French astronaut. She and her 7 years old daughter Stella live on their own in Cologne, Germany. She is the only woman with that her job in the European Space Agency. When she is offered the opportunity of joining the crew of a space mission called Proxima, this will entail a serious problem in their lives, because the mission will last twelve months. The love between a mother and her child will be on one side of the balance, and the sheer immensity of space will be on the other side of the balance, in this movie directed by Alice Winocour.
Alice Winocour was born in Paris on January 13, 1976. After studying at La Fémis, the National Film School in France, she became a French film director and scriptwriter. Among her films, let us mention Augustine (2012) and Proxima (2019). She also co-wrote the scripts of Mustang (2015) and Disorder (2015).
