Sinopsis
Documentary. María emigrated from Ecuador and she has been living with my grandmother Rosita for almost ten years already, in a small town of La Mancha, in Spain. María takes care of my grandmother and runs the house. I shoot their relationship, their everyday gestures, and the saffron flowers covering the table, that attracts other women and new stories. The cats smell the food on the stove and protest loudly from the courtyard. They are hungry, and life comes in, through the open window. The trees look at us and the world breathes in a fragile balance, which begins to be unstable and shaky when María asks for a two weeks break from the job.
Clara Sanz studied Social Sciences and Humanities, Communication, and Visual Anthropology. She is studying a Master in Documentary Creation at Lussas (France). She is a member of the Film Magazine Lumière. She worked with different festivals and associations such as the independent Movie Theatre Vidéodrome 2 in Marseilles, the Mostra Ficção Viva in Curitiba (Brazil), and the Seville European Film Festival, to name only a few of her achievements. She is working now with the Association “Ardèche Images” in Lussas, where she participates in several Film Workshops. At the same time, she works with other directors as a camera operator. Andrómedas is her first feature film.
