Descubriendo a José Padilla
Sinopsis
Documentary. Born in Almería in 1889 and deceased in Madrid in 1960. Valencia, La Violetera, El Relicario… Who cannot hum at least one of these songs? But very few know who is the author behind those timeless tunes that are part of the emotional legacy of many generations of Spaniards – we are speaking about José Padilla, the composer. In Descubriendo a José Padillla, we see the personal viewpoint of its directors, Susana Guardiola and Marta Figueras. Through their work, we get to know the man behind his most popular songs, but we also get acquainted with great orchestra pieces, like “Princesita”, “El amor eres tu”, or tangos such as “El taita del Arrabal”, which are not so familiar for the general public.
