La vida sin Sara Amat

Sinopsis

Fiction. Pep is 13 years old boy and he is completely in love with Sara Amat, a girl from his grandparents small town. One summer night, Sara disappears leaving no trace behind her. But after a few hours, Pep finds her, hiding in his room. Then, the girl explains that she has run away from her home and asks him to let her stay with him for a few days.

Although Pep knows the whole village is looking for her, he accepts her request to let her stay there, thus becoming his protector and accomplice. He will have to lie to everyone and at the same time, satisfy Sara’s demands. She will put him to the test and make him grow up before the end of the summer.


Laura Jou

Laura Jou has taken the leap to make her first feature film, by adapting the popular novel with the same title, written by Pep Puig, and winner of the Sant Jordi Award for Novel in the year 2015. Before this, she directed the short film No me quites, nominated to the Goya Awards and winner of three Biznaga Awards in the Málaga Festival. She also worked as a Director of children actors in productions as successful as Lo Imposible by Juan Antonio Bayona, Biutiful by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Pa Negre by Agustí Villaronga and Polseres Vermelles by Pau Freixas.
