Sinopsis
Fiction. Emilio, his daughter Julia and his granddaughter Blanca start on a crazy trip which will also be revealing. Before Emilio loses his memory completely, his family will help him search for the love of his youth. On the road, they will find the opportunity for a new life, without any gimmicks. Controversial decisions and mishaps will make them face the lies on which they have built their lives. Is it possible to live twice?
María Ripoll studied at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles. Her short film Kill me Later won the First Prize in the Oberhausen Film Festival and the Panavision Grant at the Houston Festival. In 1999 she directed her first feature film The Man with Rain in His Shoes (Lluvia en los zapatos). The movie won the Best Script Award in the International Film Festival of Montreal and the Audience Award in the Festivals of Sitges and Seattle. It was also nominated to Best New Director in the Goya Awards. She directed Tortilla Soup (2001), harvesting 9 nominations in the ALMA Awards. In 2002 she directed Witness – a documentary for Canal Plus. She directed the feature film Utopia (2003), very well received by the audience and critics, and also Tu vida en 65’ (2007) with a script written by Albert Espinosa, which was invited to several festivals, like the AFI Los Angeles Film Festival, the Stockholm Festival, etc. She directed Fama, todo por un sueño for the Spanish television channel TVE. She also teaches courses on Script Analysis and Direction of Actors for Sgae (the Spanish agency for authors’ copyrights) and for Central De Cine. She is currently producing and directing The 5th Chromosome, a documentary co-produced by TVE.
