Sinopsis
Ariel is a young religious dressmaker who, after a failed sexual relationship, discovers the secret that her family has always been trying to hide from her: when she was born, she was intersex, but, after corrective surgery, she was raised as a girl. Now she finds that she must make a choice: continue with her life as a woman, socially accepted but repressed, or live as intersex and endure being judged by society.
Patricia Ortega is a Venezuelan film director. She studied at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de Cuba, specializing in film direction. After making some short films, she became president of the Venezuelan independent production company Mandragora Films in 2009. “Yo, imposible” was her first feature film and gained local and international success. In 2023, her third feature film, “Mamacruz” premiered.
