Sinopsis
Ida is a young poet of 99 years who travels thinking and seeing unprecedented angles of things. When she loses her greatest love, she returns home after forty years of exile, receives the most important literary prize in the Spanish language and goes on tour. The Uruguayan poet Ida Vitale travels without leaving herself, attentive to what no one sees. From A to Z, she moves within a slow parenthesis: a tour full of unprecedented pauses.
María Arrillaga is a director, photographer, and editor, born in Uruguay in 1986. She has a master’s degree in Social Communication. Her work shows a sensitivity oriented to the artistic and literary field and has been presented in galleries and museums in Brazil, Spain, the United States of America, Italy, and Uruguay. Her audiovisual works include “Global Myopia” (2015), co-made with Marco Maggi and exhibited in galleries in Madrid, New York, San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro; and “Heterotopia I” inspired by Peter Halley's exhibition at the 58th Venice Biennale. Ida Vitale is her first feature film.
