Atlantic Bar

Atlantic Bar

Sinopsis

At l’Atlantic Bar, Nathalie, the owner, is at the centre of attention. Here, people sing, dance and hold each other close. After the bar is put up for sale, Nathalie and the regulars are faced with the end of their world and the loss of a place, at times harmful, but desperately vital. As the director delves deeper into this tiny territory located on the outskirts of the luxurious neighbourhoods of Arles, in the south of France, she invites us to discover a story much richer than one might expect, a story made up of encounters, loves and dramas.

Fanny Mollins (France)

Fanny Molins was born on October 3rd, 1988, in Villeneuve d'Ascq (France). After studying creative writing and screenwriting at the University of the Arts, London, Fanny Molins developed a photographic practice that combines a documentary approach and staging. Her series “Les Musiciens” (The Musicians), created during a training course at the Rencontres Photographiques d'Arles and exhibited at the ISO in Amsterdam, led her to live for four years with the regular customers of the Atlantic bar to write “Atlantic Bar”, her first feature film.
