Sinopsis
“Pedro” narrates the approach of a young filmmaker to the renowned artist Pedro Friedeberg. The contrast between the intimate moments of these two characters and the artist's public events complete a tender and comical portrait of a fantastic figure of Mexican art.
Liora Spilk was born in 1989 in Mexico City. From a secular Jewish family, her upbringing at home was very liberal and brought together traditions of her ancestors from Russia and Poland and Mexican values, myths and rites. After completing her higher studies in Communication Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, she began to work on journalistic projects of a social nature, and it was there that she approached documentary cinema. At the beginning of her career Liora began editing short documentaries, such as “La Muñeca Tetona”, which won the Ariel Award for Best Documentary Short Film. “Pedro” is her most personal project.
