Sinopsis
A dark comedy about Ella, a costume designer and dresser who experiences the sudden death of her married lover. As she begins to frequent his Shiva -the traditional first 7 days of Jewish mourning- she observes a world forbidden to her until then. She will find herself drawn back every day and will get too close to his family, specially to his icily beautiful wife.
Ma’ayan Rypp is a director and screenwriter. Her short films have been screened in many festivals -as Cannes, Palm Springs and Raindance- and has won awards for Best Film, Most Promising Artist as well as special mentions.Her first feature film “The Other Widow” was developed in the Cannes residency and premiered at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival as part of the First Feature Competition and received a special mention at Sofia International Film festival. She has worked in the Art Department on various film productions and is currently working in her second feature film.
