Sinopsis
This film is a biopic about Dutch dancer Olga de Haas. Olga and her friend Irma try to stand their ground in the demanding ballet world of 1970s Amsterdam. Olga is launched as the big new star of the Royal Ballet. She will soon discover the dark side of her talent. Irma will witness her best friend’s downfall as she succumbs to the pressure to perform and loses herself in the nightlife. Piece of My Heart tells the story of exceptional talent, but above all that of an ultimate friendship.
Dana Nechushtan graduated in 1994 from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam. Her graduation film won several awards. Since then, she has directed or co-directed several television series. In 2000, Dana directed her first feature film: Total loss, followed by several award-winning films in the Netherlands and abroad, such as De Belager and Necrocam. In 2012, Dana also began directing theater, with Molière’s Don Juan, which received very good reviews.
