Sinopsis
Vasil is intelligent, charismatic and a number one playing bridge and chess, but he sleeps on the street since he arrived from Bulgaria. Alfredo, a retired architect, welcomes him into his home for a while before the astonished gaze of his daughter Luisa. The two men have nothing in common except their passion for chess. Despite their differences, little by little Vasil will manage to break the barriers built by Alfredo.
Avelina Prat has a degree in architecture, but has a long career in cinema, where she has worked as a script in more than thirty feature films, with directors such as Fernado Trueba, Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Javier Rebollo and Cesc Gay. She has written and directed numerous short films of wide recognition in national and international festivals, such as “3/105”, selected at the Venice Film Festival in 2014. Vasil is her first and long-awaited fiction feature film.
