Función de noche (Evening Performance)

 Actress Lola Herrera delivers every night Miguel Delibes' monologue "Five hours with Mario". As time passes, she experiences a great change in her personality, even confusing her life with the life of Carmen Sotillos, the character she plays. Locked in their dressing room, Lola Herrera and Daniel Dicenta, separated after several years of marriage, talk and argue while reviewing their life together.

Josefina Molina Reig was born in Córdoba in 1936. She is a film director, screenwriter, television director, novelist and stage director. She was a pioneer female director in Spain and directed plays such as “Función de noche” and “Esquilache”, as well as the television series “Teresa de Jesús”. In 2012 she was appointed Favorite Daughter of Andalusia and in 2019 she received the Spanish National Cinematography Award. In 2003 she was distinguished with the Lifetime award from the Spanish Television Academy and in 2011 with the Goya Honour Award from the Spanish Cinema Academy.
