2023 Training
The 6th Edition of the Films by Women Festival Madrid will have 16 upscale professional and training activities
With the participation of great personalities in the industry such as Tatiana Huezo, Maxa Zoller, Enrico Vanucci, Alexia Muiños and many other national and international female directors and experts
To improve our reality in terms of parity and equity, it is essential to make women's work visible through women references that can be inspirational for the youngest. Therefore, one of our objectives is to highlight the talent of women throughout the industry’s Cultural Value Chain: creation and training → production and screening → distribution and sales → marketing and exhibition → consumption and accessibility.
To achieve this goal, this 6th edition will host a wide range of professional and training activities with great experts and guest directors. Under the slogan #visibilityforequality, –from October 24th to November 5th– 7 roundtables, 4 conversations with professionals from the industry, a conference and 4 discussions will take place. In these activities the public will be able to learn live and first-hand from the experience of these great female professionals.
The 2023 venues that will host the activities are: Biblioteca Nacional de España, Casa de América; Cine Doré - Filmoteca Española; Sala Secuencia - DAMA Derechos de Autor de Medios Audiovisuales; Cinemateca Pedro Zerolo; Espacio Fundación Telefónica; Fundación Casa de México en España; Universidad Camilo José Cela; Goethe-Institut Madrid; Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza; Sala Berlanga de la Fundación SGAE and Sala Equis.
The 6th edition of the Madrid Film by Women Festival will welcome more than 30 professionals from the film industry and will host 16 professional and training activities. In addition, some directors will introduce their films and, after the screenings, debates will take place, enriching the event and creating spaces for reflection, dialogue and shared experience; equity and visibility being always the main objectives.
