Sinopsis
The COVID-19 pandemic reminds of a similar scenario: the AIDS epidemic that took place in the last century 80’s and 90’s, although with a new nature, magnitude and scope.
It covers the experience and lessons learned in coping with the HIV/AIDS epidemic over the last 40 years to help to guide public policies and improve the response to SARS-CoV-2 to future similar health emergencies.
Débora Álvarez holds a PhD in Public Health. She is a science communicator specialized in health and a specialist in social intervention based on the use of audiovisual tools.
