Marsella
Sinopsis
A birth mother, Sara, and a foster mother, Virginia, share a nine-year-old girl, Claire. As a result of her problems with alcohol and drugs, the Justice took from her daughter’s custody when she was four years old. The girl was given in foster care to Virginia and Albert, whom Claire has considered her parents ever since. Everything changes when, five years later, a judge decides to return the girl to Sara, who has managed to rebuild her life and has a stable job. Taking advantage of the fact that it’s summer, Sara and Claire set out on a journey to Marseille in search of the girl's biological father.
With a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, Belén Macías also graduated from the Spanish Royal School of Dramatic Art in Madrid and studied Film Screenwriting at the School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba). The debut film was produced by El Deseo, by the Almodóvar brothers, with Candela Peña and Blanca Portillo. The film was particularly well received in the official section of the San Sebastian Film Festival.
