Sinopsis

Cassandra Reilly (Judy Davis), an American translator living in Barcelona, soon discovers that appearances can be very deceiving. The “femme-fatale” Frankie Stevens (Marcia Gay Harden) is another American in Barcelona. She is convinced that her husband has mysteriously disappeared and relies on Cassandra's questionable detective skills to find him. As soon as Cassandra tries to help unravel Frankie's secret past, she finds herself caught in a web of mistaken identities.


Susan Seidelman (USA)

Susan Seidelman (born on December 11st, 1952) is an American filmmaker. She achieved celebrity by directing the 1982 film Smithereens, one of the first American independent productions to participate in the competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

Her next feature film, Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), starred popular singer Madonna and was praised by critics. Shortly afterwards she directed She-Devil (1989), a film starring Meryl Streep and Roseanne Barr. He has also worked in television, directing episodes of renowned series such as Sex and the City.
