Sinopsis
12-year-old Bailey lives with her single father Bug and brother Hunter in a squat in North Kent. Bug doesn't have much time for his kids, and Bailey, who is approaching puberty, seeks attention and adventure elsewhere.
Arnold is an English filmmaker and former actor. She studied directing at the American Film Institute of Los Angeles. After making several short films, in 2004, she won the Oscar for Best Fiction Short Film for Wasp. In 2006, her first feature film, Red Road, won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Carl Foreman Award at the BAFTAs. Her second feature film, Fish Tank, stars Michael Fassbender and Katie Jarvis. It won the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. It also won the 2010 BAFTA for Best British Film. Her third feature film, Wuthering Heights, was based on Emily Brontë's novel. The film premiered in the Official Section at the 2011 Venice Film Festival. Her fourth feature film, American Honey, was shot in the United States with Sasha Lane and Shia LaBeouf. It earned Arnold her third Jury Prize at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. In 2018/19 Andrea directed the second season of Big Little Lies for HBO. Her first feature-length documentary, Cow, premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and received rave reviews.
Starring Barry Keoghan and Franz Rogowski, Bird is Andrea's first fiction feature film in she directs and writes the script since 2016. Produced by House Productions.
