Sinopsis
Sarah, a former martial artist, leaves Austria to train three sisters from a wealthy Middle Eastern family. What would have been a dream job soon turns into something unsettling: the young women are isolated from the outside world and under constant surveillance.
Kurdwin Ayub, born in 1990 in Iraq, is a filmmaker and artist based in Vienna. Her first fiction feature, Sonne (2022), premiered at the 2022 Berlinale in the Encounters competition and won the award for Best First Feature. It was also nominated for the European Discovery Award at the 35th European Film Awards. Moon (2024) is her second feature film, which had its world premiere at the Concorso Internazionale in Locarno.
