Sinopsis
When a cartel sicario is killed, he leaves behind his 4-year-old son, Sujo. A shadow of violence surrounds Sujo during each stage of his life. As he grows older, he discovers that he may not escape from his father’s destiny.
Astrid Rondero and Fernanda Valadez are Mexican screenwriters, directors and producers. Thanks to their, more than 15 years, collaboration, they have produced two feature films, The Darkest Days Of Us (2017) and Identifying Features (2020), as well as three short films Of This World (2010), In Still Waters (2011) and 400 Bags (2014). Identifying Features received awards at Sundance, San Sebastian, Zurich, Sofia, Thessaloniki and a Gotham Award for Best International Film. Sujo is their third feature film together.
