Sinopsis
Helena is 64 and has always been faithful to her husband. She loved him, trusted him, and was going to keep her marital vows till death do them part. For forty years, Paweł provided for her and satisfied her erotically, fathering their three beautiful children. So why would Helena want to cheat on him now? To break free from his domination? Or maybe she just wants to taste another man? When Paweł deceives her and a modeling opportunity comes along, Helena finally takes control of her own life.
Graduated from the Warsaw Film School. In 2008 she wrote and directed her debut feature film, "Mall Girls", which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film received numerous awards at international festivals, including the Luna de Valencia for Best Film.
Her second film, "Baby Blues", also swept Poland, and won the Crystal Bear for Best Film and the Special Mention of the Jury of the Generation Section of the 2013 Berlinale.
In 2014 the director shot her experimental feature film "Satan Said Dance", which premiered in the US at SXSW 2017 and won awards at the Krakow, Cinema Jove (two Moons of Valencia) and Hamburg festivals.
Rosłaniec's fourth feature film, "Salt Lake", was shot in the summer of 2020. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and won awards at the 2022 Worcester Film Festival and the 2023 Whistler Film Festival.
