Rocco & Sjuul
Sinopsis
In ROCCO & SJUUL, the life of overburdened caregiver Sjuul is turned completely upside down when she runs into her childhood sweetheart Rocco, almost 50 years after they danced together in The Hague. Both have built their own life and family, yet the sparks are flying again. Despite strong resistance from both their families, their love is unstoppable. Through trial and error, Rocco and Sjuul set out to find a way to create some space for themselves. But ... is it okay to choose for yourself at seventy and can you even find the courage to start over?
Anna van der Heide made her debut in 2011 with the acclaimed children's film Brammetje Baas. Since then, she has created numerous successful productions for children, such as Merry Christmas, Master Frog, Rudy's Big Holiday Show, and Sisters. In recent years, she has produced several works for adults, such as the series Dirty Lines, The A-word and The Cop, as well as the films De Liefhebbers and Rocco & Sjuul. Anna is currently working on the series Haantjes for Netflix.
