Sinopsis
Isabel’s life takes an unexpected turn the day her daughter Madalen asks her to visit Ramón, who is ill. After fifteen years of separation from her ex-husband, whom she now sees as a stranger despite their years as a family, long-buried resentments in Isabel start to surface. However, as she accompanies Ramón through his vulnerable moments, Isabel begins to see their past failures in a new light and focuses instead on the present of her own life.
Pilar Palomero, a graduate in Hispanic Philology and Cinematography, has developed a prominent career in film, beginning with her award-winning short film Niño Balcón in 2009. In 2013, she was selected by Béla Tarr to join his film.factory project, boosting her career. In 2020, her debut feature Las Niñas triumphed at the Málaga Film Festival and won 4 Goya Awards, including Best Film and Best New Director. Her next film, La Maternal (2022), was acclaimed at San Sebastián, receiving multiple awards and nominations. Her third feature, Los Destellos, was also presented at the same festival.
