In the subsequent discussion, Débora Álvarez, with her experience in the field of HIV research, will reflect on the power of science and cinema as tools for change, underlining the contribution of women who, through research and filmmaking, have transformed the way we understand public health and society.

Osmely Piña
MD graduated from the University of Zulia (2019, Venezuela), founding member of the LGBTI movement Okay, no, director of the film festival Encuentro Diverso. She participated an MD in the Luz First Aid Foundation (PALUZ) in collaboration with UNICEF; psychosocial promoter of the Fundación Rehabilitarte through UNICEF's WASH programme (2021 - 2022), Project Manager of Acción Triángulo and Cinemateca Pedro Zerolo (2021 - Present).
