Esquilache

Esquilache

Sinopsis

Madrid, Palm Sunday, 1766. When the Marquis of Esquilache arrives at his residence, the House of the Seven Chimneys, the cries of "Death to the bad government!" “Death to Esquilache!” are still heard in the streets! Accompanied by his secretary Antonio Campos, he is horrified to see the effects of the looting his house has been subjected to. He goes to the Royal Palace while recalling his interviews with the king, the clashes with the Spanish nobility, the corruption of his wife and, above all, his romantic relationship with Fernanda.
