Sinopsis
A town in Jalisco, Mexico. Teacher Celeste has been transferred to another school and has but a few days to live with the elementary school students who started with her. Together they will live a month of September filled with movement, directions and revelations.
Alana Simões is a documentary film director. She graduated in Mexico from the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV) in Mexico, specializing in documentary, and from Instituto de Estudios Críticos, where she completed a master's degree in philosophy. Her debut film, Mi Hermano, was selected at, amongst others, prestigious festivals such as SEMINCI in Valladolid, Sheffield Doc Play and FICG in Guadalajara. As a jury, her participation in the Havana International Film Festival, DOCTV LATINOAMÉRICA and RETODOCS need to be mentioned. She was part of the board of directors of DOCMA (Spanish Association of Documentary Film) and was co-creator of //3XDOC// ENCUENTRO DE CREADORES in Madrid. She is currently part of the academic body of the Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara (ITESO) where she is creative coordinator of the MOIRA laboratory, Narratives in Transit. Her third feature film, AntiProyecto, is at its editing stage.
