Morí (I Died)
Sinopsis
Li cham is the rebirth of three Tsotsil women. After losing the lives of their babies and their relatives due to patriarchal violence, some of them die. With the arrival of the Zapatismo movement, their dreams will bloom again, and they’ll fight for the most valuable thing they have: their land and a life with independence and hope.
Ana Ts'uyeb is originally from the Naranjatic Alto community in the municipality of Chenalhó, Chiapas. She is an Intercultural Communicator, translator and Filmmaker. Member of Cine Bolomchon, an exhibition space in Chenalhó. Director and co-producer of her debut film Li cham (Morí). Her first collaboration was in the Chiapas System of Radio, Television and Cinematography in the program "Palabra en flor". In 2018, she produced and directed the short documentaries Deconstrucción Orgánica and Andares en la infancia. She did the online production for the feature film Riox, Palabra florida directed by María Sojob and did the online production of the documentary short film Conoce, crea y baila (2021). From 2022 to 2023, she was the Communication coordinator for the Americas of the NGO Trickle Up, an organization focused on the empowerment of indigenous women through financial inclusion. In 2024 she produced the short documentary Guardianes de la tierra for the NGO Cultural Survival. She is a ranslator for the NGO Trápaga, focused on migrants in the USA.
