Sinopsis

In 1936, Palestinians started a revolt against colonialism rule that marked the beginning of the biggest and longest uprising against 30 years of British rule.


Annemarie Jacir (Palestine)

Annemarie Jacir is a Palestinian filmmaker and writer. She has written, directed and produced over sixteen fiction and documentary films. Her short film Like Twenty Impossibles (2003) was the first Arab short film in history to be an official selection of the Cannes Film Festival and an Oscars finalist. Salt of this Sea (2008), premiered at Cannes, was the first feature film directed by a Palestinian woman, Palestine's 2008 Oscar Entry for Foreign Language Film and garnered fourteen international awards. When I Saw You (2013) won several awards and was also Palestine's Oscar Entry. Wajib (2018) was her third feature film. Jacir co-founded Philistine Films, an independent production company focusing on productions related to the Arab world.
