The stigma towards HIV hasn’t disappeared. 25 years have passed between these two films, and both continue to raise the same question. How can we respond to prejudice about HIV?
Pilar García Elegido is the director, producer and co-screenwriter of the documentary short films Confluencias (1999 Goya Award for Best Documentary Short Film), Positivo and Ventanas (nominated for the 2000 and 2017 Goya Award), among others. From 2003 to 2019 she was responsible for the Cinema Department of the Comunidad de Madrid. She has directed festivals such as the Short Film Week and coordinated professional meetings, workshops and film events. She writes fiction and has recently published the photobook Distancia social.
