Por qué no escribo nada
Sinopsis
At just 23 years old, Carmen Laforet revolutionized Spanish literature with her novel Nada. Her talent promised a long career filled with success, yet she wrote little and gradually fell into silence… Or at least, that’s what we’ve been told. This time, Carmen Laforet (Mónica López) takes the floor and reveals a very different truth: that of an original and rebellious writer who paid with ostracism for her fight for freedom. Her story is the story of all the women who choose to step outside the script.
Director and screenwriter based in Barcelona. Since founding her production company, Al Pati, she has focused on the development and production of films committed to social issues that explore the boundaries between documentary and fiction, while fostering new perspectives on culture, humanity, and society.
Her documentaries have been broadcast on major European television networks, including NTR, SVT, YLE, RAI, RTVE and TV3, among others. With El fill de son pare / His Father’s Son (2010), she received a Special Mention from the Jury at the Prix Europa.
