Ah Girl
Sinopsis
Singapore, 1994: Seven-year-old Ah Girl lives with her younger sister Ah Tian, their father, and grandmother after her parents’ separation. Her mother visits on weekends, showering the girls with food and toys. When Mum asks Ah Girl to choose whether to live with her, Ah Girl is torn between pleasing her mother and staying with her father and sister. As the year unfolds, Ah Girl begins to understand how unusual and fragile her family situation is. Her parents enter new relationships, money remains tight, and Ah Tian may have to leave. Amid childhood adventures, trouble, accidents, happy moments, and sadness, Ah Girl struggles with the uncertainty of her family’s future and where she will ultimately belong.
