Sinopsis
Amaia has just become a mother and realises that she doesn’t really know how to be one. When her partner leaves for work for a few weeks, she decides to return to her parents’ home in a beautiful coastal village in the Basque Country, so she can share the responsibility of caring for her baby. What Amaia doesn’t realise is that, even though she is now a mother, she will always remain a daughter.
Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, born in Barakaldo (Bizkaia), is a film director and screenwriter. She holds degrees in English Philology from the University of Deusto and Audiovisual Communication from the University of the Basque Country (UPV), and graduated in Film Directing from ECAM, where she made the award-winning short film Clases particulares(2005). She founded Igloo Films in 2012 and has directed advertising campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola and BBVA. Her short film Dicen (2011) was selected for more than 160 festivals and won 50 awards. In 2022, she released her feature film debut, Lullaby (Cinco lobitos), followed by the series Querer in 2024. In 2026, she won the Goya Award for Best Director for Los domingos.
