Corredora

Cris, an elite runner, suffers a psychotic episode that forces her to step away from top-level competition. Not everyone around her is able—or knows how—to help, but her sister, Natàlia, becomes her safe haven as she learns to accept her condition and redefine the pace of her life.

ESCAC graduate, Laura García Alonso wrote and directed the short film Tormenta de verano, starring Àlex Monner and Lola Dueñas, which premiered at the Valladolid International Film Festival (SEMINCI) and was selected for the Official Competition at the Málaga Film Festival, where Àlex Monner won the Silver Biznaga for Best Actor. Her first short film, Alex, starring Greta Fernández, Mónica López and Laia Marull, was selected for the 62nd San Sebastián International Film Festival and was nominated for a Gaudí Award by the Catalan Film Academy. Corredora is her feature film directorial debut.
