Pioneras. Solo querían jugar
Sinopsis
In early-1970s Spain, with Franco’s regime still deeply entrenched in society, a group of very young and overlooked footballing stars and a daring, idealistic sports promoter join forces to break down barriers and embark on what will become the story of women’s football in Spain.
Marta Díaz de Lope Díaz was born in Ronda (Málaga) and currently lives in Barcelona. She graduated from ESCAC with a degree specializing in Directing. During her time at ESCAC, she wrote and directed, among other projects, the short film Menopáusicas (2011), which won the Best Director Award at the IAJ Short Film Competition, held as part of the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival.
She was the director and screenwriter of one of the sequences in the feature film Los Inocentes (2013), made in collaboration with the other directors from her graduating class and premiered at the Sitges Film Festival. Her graduation short film, Y otro año, perdices (2013), was selected for the Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci) and won the Best Director Award at the Medina del Campo Film Week, among other distinctions at numerous festivals.
