Sinopsis
Fiction. Justine, a 16-year-old girl, lives in a family where all the people are vets and vegetarians. She is a bright and promising student, but upon entering veterinary school she discovers a decadent, ruthless, and dangerously seductive world. During the first week, obsessed with fitting in with her classmates, she strays from the principles her family has instilled in her, and she eats raw meat for the first time. The consequences are not long in coming, and the young woman will begin to reveal her true nature.
Julia Ducournau finished her screenwriting studies at the La Fémis film school in Paris in 2008, and in 2011 she won the Petit Rail d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her short film Junior. In 2016, she directed her film Raw, which was screened during the critics’ week of the 2016 Cannes Festival. In 2021. She won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her second feature film, Titane, becoming me the second woman to win the award in the history of the Festival.
