Impact on the Media

From the media point of view, the first edition of the “Festival de Cine por Mujeres” has shown, in global figures, an important presence, especially highlighting audience numbers, which reached 124,054,347 among readers and viewers

More than 30 interviews and more than 435 news references collected by our clipping service from printed and on-line press, together with, at least, 7 television pieces and 34 radio mentions offer an estimated return on investment of 1.454.554€.

70,80% of the appearances occurred on digital media and 18,62% on printed press, the remaining percentage corresponds to agency mentions (1,15%), radio (7,82%) and television (81,61%). The whole information appeared in April, month in which the festival took place.

46,90% of the information has been published in national media, and it is worth noting that 18,54% has been published in international coverage media. Globomedia.com and El País have been the media that published the largest amount of news.

The average value of radio appearances is about 1.598€ for 20’’ spot, while television appearances can not be rated as it has been broadcasted by public television wich does not contain commercials.

27.20

Press conference with the presence of 75 journalists at the Sala Cervantes, Casa de América.

27.21

Reporters on the opening evening at the Palacio de la Prensa.

27.22

27.23

This success with both the audience and the press would not have been possible without the intervention of the participants, the attendants, the media and without the invaluable cooperation of the sponsors of this first edition.

With this statement we want to share with you these good results and express our heartfelt thanks. Without your collaboration we would not have been able to meet the 10 objectives that we had set at the beginning of the project.

With great confidence that the 2018 Cine por Mujeres Festival is going to bring benefits to both women and the Spanish Audio-visual Industry, we bid farewell.
