#6. The Madrid Films by Women Festival will include 5 feature films in the Special Sessions, making visible the work of two legendary pioneers, a new author, an artist and a writer. In addition, let’s introduce 45 fascinating female industry professionals

The Madrid Films by Women Festival kicks off on October 28th with a program of feature films and activities aimed at highlighting the presence of women in the Film industry. For this reason, we organize Special Sessions to make visible the works of legendary female pioneers, new authors, creators, and writers, highlighted by prominent female directors... women looking at other women.

In addition, the 8th edition of the Madrid Films by Women Festival brings to the city fascinating professionals from the industry who you can listen to live in one of the 67 screenings of the 62 films (from 18 countries) that will be shown at the festival, or in any of our 13 professional activities. Likewise, 45 professionals will accompany us in person at one of the 18 fantastic venues... Get to know them all!

SPECIAL SESSIONS PROGRAMME

The Special Sessions programme, which aims to promote the visibility of women filmmakers and equity in the sector, is made up of 5 feature films that will be screened at the following venues: DAMA, Institut Français, Cineteca Madrid, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and Biblioteca Nacional de España.

INTERNATIONAL PERSONALITIES FROM THE FILM INDUSTRY WHO WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FESTIVAL

Regarding the presence of international guests who will participate in Madrid in this edition of the festival, we will have various professionals, including directors Charlène Favier and Katalin Gödrös and actresses Antonia Zegers and Martina Gusmán, among others.

Regarding the presence of Spanish guests, we will have the participation of various professionals, among others, the directors Carla Simón, Belén Funes, Eva Libertad, Arantxa Echevarría, Inés París (directors), the composer Zeltia Montes, the producers Marilu Gutiérrez and Esther García (producers) and the actresses Enriqueta Carballeira and Petra Martínez.
