On November 6, the Closing Gala of the 4th Film Festival Cine por Mujeres took place at the Madrid Palacio de la prensa, hosted by the journalist and stand-up commentator Nerea Pérez de las Heras. Many actresses, film directors and prominent authorities attended the ceremony.
During the course of the evening, the Festival director presented the "SPANISH AUTHORS COMPETITION" AWARD FOR BEST FILM, which consists of € 3,000 in discounts on the rental of cinematographic equipment courtesy of the company RC Service and a mobile phone model 11 Lite 5G, courtesy of Xiaomi Spain.
This prize was decided by a jury made up of María Cabal, Daniel Farriol and Susana Cabeza, critics and bloggers of the BLOGOS de Oro Association. They choose the film “Once Upon a Place” by the director Cèlia Novis, “for showing an unknown, interesting and historical tale (that of Spanish emigration to the United States), with a narrative that captivates and puts you fully on 14th Street in New York”.
Next, the actress Nathalie Poza, member of the international jury composed in this edition of Shahrbanoo Sadat, Casimiro Torreiro and herself, presented the Award for Best Film at the 2021 Film Festival Cine por Mujeres, which consists of color correction in 4K for 3 weeks in the Místika digital cinema room of Free Your Mind, valued at € 30,000, for the next feature film by the winning director; in the creation of a DCP in its original version subtitled in Spanish by the company Subtitula'm, valued at € 1,000; and a mobile phone model 11 Lite 5G, courtesy of Xiaomi Spain.
This award was given to the film “Un monde (Playground)”, by Belgian director Laura Wandel because “Behind its apparent simplicity it contains a huge lesson in cinematographic wisdom, while it plunges us back into the world of childhood and her fears through the perception of an 8-year-old girl. It creates an exemplary metaphor about education, filial love and the need for integration. "
