The results of the 6th edition of the Madrid Films by Women Festival, held from October 24th to November 5th, 2023, with 9 SOLD OUTS and an audience of more than 6.000 in-person attendees, show that continuing to promote cinema directed by women, as well as making visible and promoting, in terms of equity, an audio-visual world, are still necessary. The diverse and extensive programme of this edition – with 70 feature films and 14 Professional and Training Activities, which were held in 20 different venues – as well as the wide variety of the guest directors and professionals from the industry, captured the attention of the media, managing to register an audience increase of 55.25%, in comparison to the last edition. The total number of readers per publication has reached 1,483,867,021 in 2023, up from 663,935,133 in 2022. Dissemination has also grown by 23.4% more than in the last edition and the cumulative economic value of the impact has reached 44%, amounting to a total of €2,794,242 compared to €1,565,481 in 2022. For all these reasons, the footprint left by the 6th edition of the festival is undeniable.
